Ingredients
- 1 kilogram potatoes
- 60 milliliters olive oil
- 5 grams salt
- 10 grams fresh rosemary
- 10 grams fresh thyme
- 3 garlic cloves
Preparation
- Peel and cut the potatoes into uniform cubes about three centimeters wide
- Toss the potatoes with olive oil, salt, and minced herbs in bowl
- Spread the mixture in a single layer on a large baking sheet
- Add the crushed garlic cloves to the tray for extra flavor aroma
- Bake at 200 Celsius for thirty-five minutes until the potatoes are golden
- Turn the potatoes halfway through the baking time for even browning results
Tips
- Par-boil the potatoes for five minutes before roasting for extra crispy edges
- Do not overcrowd the pan or the potatoes will steam instead of roast
- Use a high smoke point oil if you are roasting at higher temperatures
