Recipe for Pan-Fried Sausages with Onions

Ingredients
- 8 pork sausages
- 3 large onions
- 30 milliliters vegetable oil
- 30 grams butter
- 2 grams salt
- 2 grams black pepper
Preparation
- Slice the onions into thin half moons and set them aside carefully
- Heat the oil in a large pan and fry the sausages
- Cook for ten minutes until the sausages are browned and fully cooked
- Remove the meat and add the onions and butter to the pan
- Sauté the onions on medium heat for fifteen minutes until dark brown
- Return the sausages to the pan and season with salt and pepper
Tips
- Cook the onions slowly to ensure they become sweet and dark brown
- Add a splash of water if the onions begin to stick to pan
- Prick the sausages with a fork to prevent the skins from bursting
