- 1 large egg
- 1 Liter water
- 2 grams salt
- 500 milliliters ice water
Preparation
- Bring 1 Liter of water to a boil in a small saucepan over high heat
- Lower the cold egg into the water using a spoon to avoid cracking
- Reduce heat to a simmer and cook the egg for six minutes
- Prepare a bowl with 500 milliliters of ice water while the egg is boiling
- Remove the egg and place it in the ice bath for three minutes
- Crack the shell and peel the egg before serving it with salt and pepper
