Recipe for a Classic Beef Lasagna

  2. Simmer the meat sauce for thirty minutes over low heat until thick

Sauce

  1. Melt butter and whisk in flour then slowly add milk for a smooth sauce
  2. Stir in half of the parmesan cheese, a pinch of salt, and nutmeg

Bake

  1. Layer meat sauce, pasta, and white sauce in a dish and repeat three times
  2. Top with mozzarella and bake at 180 Celsius for forty-five minutes
  3. Let the lasagna rest for fifteen minutes before cutting to keep layers together
