Recipe for Creamy Tomato Basil Pasta
This pasta dish features a sauce made from tomatoes, cream, and fresh basil leaves.

Ingredients
- 400 grams penne pasta
- 800 grams canned tomatoes
- 100 milliliters heavy cream
- 2 garlic cloves
- 30 milliliters olive oil
- 10 grams fresh basil
- 50 grams parmesan cheese
Preparation
- Boil the pasta in salted water until it is al dente then drain
- Sauté the minced garlic in olive oil until it is very fragrant
- Add the tomatoes and simmer for fifteen minutes over a medium heat
- Stir in the heavy cream and let the sauce thicken for three minutes
- Toss the cooked pasta with the sauce and fresh basil leaves
- Serve hot with a sprinkle of grated parmesan cheese on the top
Tips
- Use fresh basil leaves added at the very end for the best aroma
- Stir the cream in slowly to prevent it from curdling in the sauce
- Save a cup of pasta water to adjust the thickness of the sauce
