- 200 grams cornmeal

- 50 grams parmesan cheese

- Bring the water, milk, and salt to a boil in a large saucepan
- Gradually whisk in the cornmeal and simmer for twenty minutes while stirring
- Stir in the butter and grated parmesan cheese until the mixture is creamy
Tips
- Whisking constantly during the first minutes prevents the cornmeal from clumping
- Use a combination of milk and water to achieve a richer taste
- If the polenta becomes too thick add a little warm water to loosen
