Recipe for a Perfect Soft Boiled Egg

  • 2 grams salt
  • 500 milliliters ice water

Preparation

  1. Bring 1 Liter of water to a boil in a small saucepan over high heat
  2. Lower the cold egg into the water using a spoon to avoid cracking
  3. Reduce heat to a simmer and cook the egg for six minutes
  4. Prepare a bowl with 500 milliliters of ice water while the egg is boiling
  5. Remove the egg and place it in the ice bath for three minutes
  6. Crack the shell and peel the egg before serving it with salt and pepper
