- 800 grams ground beef with 20 percent fat

- 15 milliliters vegetable oil

- 4 brioche buns
- 4 slices cheddar cheese

- 1 tomato, sliced
- 1 red onion, sliced
Preparation
Patty
- Gently divide the beef into 4 equal portions and shape them into 2 centimeters thick patties
- Use your thumb to make a small indent in the center of each patty
- Season both sides generously with salt and black pepper just before cooking
Cooking
- Heat 15 milliliters oil in a skillet or grill and cook patties for 4 minutes per side
- Place a cheese slice on each patty during the last minute and cover the pan to melt
- Toast the halved buns and assemble with lettuce, tomato, onion, and the beef patty
